Testing of solid fuel appliances under accreditation

The testing laboratory at „Kontrol 94” Ltd. is an accredited testing laboratory in the regulated and non-regulated areas of ЕA BAS according to BDS EN ISO / IEC 17025:2018 and hаs a certificate No122 ЛИ dated 29.01.2021 valid until 29.01.2025 with the following scope of accreditation:
• BDS EN 15821 – Multy-firing sauna stoves fired by natural wood logs;
• BDS EN 303-5 – Heating boilers for solid fuels, manually and automatically stoked, nominal heat output of up to 500 kW.

The laboratory has a flexible scope of accreditation – it is allowed to introduce a new version of the standards or standards that replace them. The laboratory maintains an up-to-date list of standards with their dated versions

Construction products assessment

The assessment of performance of construction products according to Regulation (EC) 305/2011

Kontrol 94 Ltd. is a notified body with a notification number NB 1879 of the register of the European Commission and permit No CPR12 – NB 1879/09.10.2013 of the Ministry of Investment Planningtocarry out the assessment of performance ofconstruction products.

The company performs initial type test (ITT) andthe assessment of performance of solid fuel appliances according to the following standard specifications:

BDS EN 15821 – Multy-firing sauna stoves fired by natural wood logs. Requirements and test methods;

BDS EN 303-5 – Heating boilers for solid fuels, manually and automatically stoked, nominal heat output of up to 500 kW.

Laboratory analysis

Laboratory(definite) testing and analysis

As already mentioned before, the company performs the assessment of performance for combustion appliances according to construction Regulation and gas European directive. The company’s laboratories perform heat and emission measurements for determining the technical and operational features of the solid and liquid fuel and gas appliances, as well as primary testing of the fire safety. The laboratory performs also testing for current and production control of the above appliances. We offer determination of the following technical and operational characteristics and parameters:

Fire safety – determining the safety distances to flammable materials;

Combustion products emissions – determined in the output gases:

oxygen,
carbon dioxide
carbon monoxide,
nitrogen oxides,
organic gases,
dust.

Determination of hazardous substances;

Surface temperature of the controls during appliance operation;

Smoke gases temperature;

Testing of boilers at double maximum service pressure;

Heat output:

total heat output,
boiler heat output,
space heating output .

Energy efficiency – efficiency of the appliance,

Flue gas mass flow in g/s emitted by the appliance.
